When CHEVOO approached us for their latest ad campaign in Killington, Vermont, we knew we had an exciting challenge ahead. The goal was to highlight their exquisite marinated goat cheese and olive oil products while delivering a sleek, elevated look that matched the premium quality of the brand. From concept to completion, every detail was carefully crafted to ensure the final product stood out visually and emotionally.

The Look and Feel: A Celebration of Elegance

For this project, we leaned into a modern aesthetic that emphasized sophistication and indulgence. CHEVOO’s products are more than just food; they’re an experience—and we wanted that to come through in every frame.

The visual approach involved:

  • Rich, vibrant colors: The warm, golden tones of olive oil and the creamy textures of goat cheese were complemented by earthy, natural backdrops. This palette created a sense of comfort and luxury.

  • Intentional lighting: Soft, directional lighting was key to highlighting the product’s texture and richness without overpowering the shot. We aimed for a style that felt clean yet inviting.

  • Refined compositions: Tight close-ups and minimalist set designs kept the focus squarely on the product, ensuring viewers would be captivated by CHEVOO’s signature quality.

Creating a Director’s Cut

After completing the ad, we decided to craft a director’s cut to explore a slightly different vision for the project. While the final campaign leaned into a polished, high-end aesthetic, the director’s cut takes a more emotive and artisanal approach. It’s an opportunity to reimagine the narrative, focusing on the craftsmanship behind CHEVOO’s products and the passion that goes into creating something so unique.

In the director’s cut:

  • Handcrafted moments take center stage, showcasing the artisanal process of infusing goat cheese with premium olive oils.

  • A slower pace allows viewers to savor each detail, mirroring the experience of enjoying the product itself.

  • Natural sound design replaces some of the upbeat campaign music, bringing an intimate, authentic touch to the visuals.

The Collaborative Process

Bringing this campaign to life was a collaborative effort, from storyboarding to the final edit. Working with CHEVOO’s team in Killington, Vermont, we honed in on the key messaging and visual style that aligned with their brand identity. The production involved creating a “Kitchen Studio” on-location shoots, utilizing a multi-camera setup to capture both dynamic camera movement and consistent visuals while cooking.

One of the most rewarding aspects of this project was seeing how versatile CHEVOO’s brand is. Whether positioned as a luxurious indulgence or an everyday essential for food lovers, the product’s story remains compelling.
